ABOUT
ALENTEJO
AN INTRODUCTION TO THE CALM AND UNIQUE MANTLE THAT COVERS THE SOUTH OF PORTUGAL
The Alentejo is a vast territory, located in the south of Portugal, corresponding to around 1/3 of the country's territory and its low population density makes it the perfect place to enjoy nature.
It offers unique landscapes where you can find plains, plateaus and mountains, animals and unique vegetation, as well as an important cultural heritage and ancient traditions that are still practiced.
A network of walking routes - the TransAlentejo Network - has been created throughout the territory, structured and selected with the aim of revealing the best we have in terms of landscape, natural values and heritage.
Whether it's sunny or raining, the most important thing is to go. It's easy: one step after another and you gain time to absorb the nature and history of each place.
We've selected 3 routes near Montimerso SkyScape CountryHouse and Alqueva to start your discovery of the Alentejo:
